Support for the HPS fixtures you already run

P.L. Light Systems has supplied HPS lighting since 1981, and a lot of it is still working. If you own NXT2 or NXT-LP fixtures, replacement lamps, ballasts, and reflectors are still stocked, and the fixtures themselves are still current products.

The lineup is double-ended HPS in 1000W and 600W. NXT2 covers standard mounting heights, and NXT-LP is built for low-ceiling rooms where headroom is tight, using the Beta reflector for deep canopy penetration.

If you are weighing a retrofit, the same team specifies both technologies. A light plan will model an LED layout against your existing HPS layout and show connected load for each, so the comparison comes down to numbers.

Common questions about HPS lighting

Yes. NXT2 and NXT-LP are current products in 1000W and 600W, and replacement lamps, ballasts, and reflectors are stocked for both.
Replacement lamps, ballasts, and reflectors are available for double-ended HPS systems, including continued support for legacy fixtures. Send us the fixture model and we will confirm the part.
It depends on your energy rate, rebate eligibility, and how much service life is left in the fixtures. Budgeting for an LED retrofit walks through the cost side. A light plan models both layouts against your facility and shows connected load for each, which is the comparison worth making.
Usually not. Rebate programs generally require a DLC Horticultural listing, which applies to LED fixtures rather than HPS. Our guide to qualifying for energy rebates covers the requirements. Program rules vary, so confirm with your utility before you plan around it.
